fabrication number for my r15 gtl

in my 1978 r15 gtl is missing the two silver plates where is the informations of the fabrication number.without this plates how can i know it?? i have the chassis(6256218) and the motor number(ats 10055)

If you want to make a brand new rhombus plate, there's no problem : you have all the numbers needed.

For the oval plate, on the contrary, you will have to imagine what could be the serial number of your car.

Without the oval plate you don't know the exact production number. That is, untill we have all R1300 in the "recensement"

But to indicate:
The *R1300**6256158* has fabrication no. 150.681 and
the *R1300**6272941* has fabrication no. 157.390

however the:
*R1300**6272937* (four numbers lower) has the fabrication no. 157.461 (71 higher).

So, you would have to guess. It was probably somewhere between 150.700 and 151.500.

You 'll read 3 things:
1- R1300
2- the code of the sale zone (it's 100 for France, I don't know the code for Türkey)
3- the fabrication number: The right number

You can imagine the serial number of your car that is on the oval plate if you know the ones of the R15 whose "frame number" are smaller or greater than your car's.

Have you found some manuals, or different original papers in your car?

Warranty card. On this one, the serial number and the oval plate number have to be written by the dealer before the delivery.

(Je lui demande si il a trouvé différents documents dans sa voiture. Sur la carte, ou le livret de garantie, le numéro de série ainsi que le numéro de plaque ovale doivent être mentionné par le concessionnaire avant la livraison.)
