Seat Frame Rubber Straps

I am looking to find new or NOS or serviceable used rubber seat frame return straps for my R12 station wagon part number 77 00 579 532. These are common to R 12, R15 and R 17 in the years 1973-1975. Other part numbers for the same part in PR books is: 77 00 563 396. The part number actually embossed on my broken straps is 77 00 578 352.

I need two of these straps for my front seats.

If anyone in the R15 R17 Amicale knows where I can find these I would be very grateful.

it is obvious that you will only find from someone with second-hand parts in surplus.

Yes, I thought so. I have searched high and low and eBay, LeBon Coin etc. None of the vintage Renault parts sellers have these parts either, so I am hoping that someone in a club somewhere has two of these that are still usable. Rubber that is nearly 50 years old is bound to be cracked and split and dried out but maybe someone has these that are still usable.

I'll change the seats off my R12 Station-van, they are HS.

Thank you for checking in any case. I think I may have to secure some rubber sheet material and use the broken ones as templates and make these up using rivets to clamp the ends together. I will let you know if it works. I doubt anyone in the world makes these parts any longer and any that are NOS are going to be useless as 50 year old rubber is going to perish anyway.
