1302 from England

Hello 15/17 people!
Here is my recently acquired 15.






These cars are almost extinct over here, the last one I can remember seeing in daily usage belonged to my father in 1980! I have been looking for one of these cars for a few years, and this one appeared on ebay. I missed out on this very car a couple of years ago, so I had to buy it!
I'm planning a full restoration, but will drive the car for a year or so before work begins.

Is it the R15TS ? You've got the wheels.
We've got a French member who has a R15 and a R17 GB models.
I remember there is around one year a Orange one was for sale in England.
Where are you in UK ?

It is a TS, this is the orange one that was for sale on ebay a while back. In a short time the car went from orange to black, then from black to yellow. There have been several owners over the last year.
This car was originally white, so when the car is restored, it will be white once more.
I live in Cheshire, near Manchester Airport.

These cars are pretty much extinct here in the UK, the last one I saw in daily usage was an Orange one that my father sold in 1980. 
I used a website called "how many left" which uses data from a government database to find out how many Renault 15s are still registered in the UK. There are 6 TS, 5 TL, and 3 GTL!

Yes!

Under the many layers of paint, it appears to have been white from the factory.
Is 245 the colour?

Information from oval plate :

It's very hard to know the origin color of your car mainly if it has been painted in the past.
Normaly, you have a stencil with  letter and number in the engine compartment (this is the code of color).

Example :

Steve, you MUST secure the fuel supply to the carburettor, to avoid the risk of fire.
This applies to R12, R15, R16 and R17.
The nozzle crimped into the carburettor body could come loose, with all the risks that could entail.

You can also secure the fuel pump in the same way.
