Quelques questions

parce que je ne parler francais trés bien. mais en allemand ne personne savoir quelque chose sur la r17, je veut très reconnaissant quand quelqu'un parler un peu allemand ou english.

but maybe someone can help me in english, i woulb be very pleased.
my dad exhibit an old r17 from 1972. the first generation with the old scholl front and the old weber motor with 90BHP. now i try to repair this beautyful car, but i´ve never seen a complet car here in germany, so its very difficult for me .... i also need some reparparts, nothing big but in germany there is no market for this car

hoffe das französische war nicht allzu schlecht, nur der französichunterricht ist schon eine weile her.... meinem vater besitz einen alten r17 vergaser. nur da sich dieser in deutschland sehr rar macht bräuchte ich für die restauration noch einige informationen. hoffe es gibt hier vllt. jemanden der mir helfen kann. auch die ersatzteilversorgung ist hier sehr schlecht für ein solch exklusives fahrzeug. vllt. könnt ihr mir ja auch hierbei helfen, ist alles nix wildes. doch gerade die kleinteile sind sehr schwer zu bekommen.....

Welche Freude, dass hier auch mal jemand Deutsch spricht.

Ich bin aus Österreich und wir haben auch hier einen kleinen, feinen R15/17- Freundeskreis. So wie übrigens auch bei dir in Deutschland, wo es die R15/17 IG gibt, die sich regelmässig, einmal im Jahr zu einem Treffen zusammenfindet. (Das nächtste Mal am 24./25.5. in der Nähe von Stuttgart.) Du wirst erstaunt sein, wieviele R17 noch in deinem Land unterwegs sind. Auch die E-Teilversorgung ist noch weitreichend gesichert.

hi,
ja den r15/17 IG kenne ich wohl, allerdings gibt es dort leider keinerlei internetauftritt bzw. forum
auch von dem treffen habe ich schon gehört. glaube sogar mein vater ist da schon eingetreten und wenn alles gut läuft dürfte der wagen bis dahin schon fertig sein.
kannst du mir vllt. sagen von welchem motor die kolben sind? wir haben hier zwei stück stehen, wobei bei dem einen leider eine zylinderbuchse lose ist.
woher kann ich denn am besten die Erstzteile beziehen? also gesucht sind:
die gummi abdeckungen von den türschlössern. das dreieckige plasitk ding, welches das heckschlos führt und ein nockenwellenrad. bzw. je nach preis und verfügbarkeit würde ich auch zwei nockenwellenräder nehmen.

thanks for the reception. can anybody tell me from what engine the pistons, shown on the last picture, are? and are the rubber covers for the door locks available? i´m also searching for the three-corned plastik thing for the back door.
how can i level the cylinder head? in my book there is some kind of special tool for adjusting the head, but i don´t have this one... is it possible to level the head easly without these tools?
can anybody tell me how much compaction the engine needs? i also have problems with the "spannungsteiler" bleeder. what does the bleeder do? when i whant to start the engine the bleeder became hot and began to stink. maybe i´ve to adjust the little screw, that moves the carbonaceous, but how???

ps: i´m also searching for one or two cam shaft wheels, maybe someone can help me....

For the tailgate lock, this is available at Renault (n° 77 01 454 310). Price is 20 € :


And, for the door locks, spare part n° 1 is available at Renault, or at our club, but n° 2 is not available in France, as it was a spécial feature for Germany.

hey thank you for this informaiton.
now i will order the tailgate lock and the part. no1 at renault.
part no.2 would be a problem, but we will find a solution maybe someone from the renault club germany will have this one.

Du spricht uber eine RENAULT 17 2.0 Turbo?... oder eine andere wagen mit diese motor?

yes i´ve seen a video on youtube. maybe it´s only the small block 1,6 4 zyl. engine with an turbo kit, hoped that it´s a bigger one

maybe someone has more (englisch writen ) infos or fotos. think the problem is the gear box and the lengthwise build engine in a front wheel driven car my father also says that the r17 wasn´t build as an integral body???
but this is only on second priority. first i want to finish this damn (sorry, but sometimes the r17 drives me crazy ) car.
does anybody know something about the pistons? the other engine was build with more arced pistons, not so flat like the shooted. and the camshaft wheels. without them i can not continue....

So you have two engines?!...
Have the engines the same identification : 807-10? Check this on the aluminium plate.

By the way, you car seems to be one the first R1312 exported in Germany. Can you give us the ovale plate, please? We have started a registration since many years already. If you want to have a look, it's here :

yes the identification number of the engine, i will lock during the next days. don´t remember them by rote.

the identifaction number of the body... this is a problem. i think the number should be near the suspresion leg, but there is no number the car was paintet for a couple of years ago... maybe there happend a mistake....
but my father has 3 different car documentations. maybe these informations are enough. so tell me what you want to know, should be no problem.

maybe i should tell you some more about these car(s). my father has owend the car for a few years. 22 years ago he sings the car off. but in this time he also owend 2 more cars and butches these. so we have the old weber engine and one of the neuer injektion (and a lot more parts...). but i don´t know if only one of these engines will run but we will see
all three cars were 1322.

one more question about the cam shaft wheel. are there some more cars with this kind of wheel?

the identify number of the first engine is 807/10 for the second i will have a lock next days.

was´s up?
does anybody sells such an cam shaft wheel or knows someone?
and what about to adjust the head? how have i to do this without the special tool.
is it enough to use adjust pins? or maybe only by sense of proportion?

la référence n´existe plus (7701454310) et le vendeure ne savoir pas la renault amicale.... je pense en allemand ce très difficile d´avoir des informations.
j´est écrice à un peu commercant, peut-être cette apporte succès.

the alpine 110 1600 engine uses some same parts like the 1600 r17 engine. for example the cum shaft wheel. what i´m searching for and the prices are very good.
maybe someone else is interested in such informations...

does anybody know the lenght and the bore of the cylinder liner? if not i have to scale.
