| Happy Holidays my friends. I hope you are all well. Covid still rages here and it is very scary! In the middle of all this I take time to drive my Gordini and enjoy some moments of happiness. I have a question for you all. My brakes are very soft. If I do not pump the brakes the red light of the brak system lights and the car feels like it is loosing brake pressure. If I pump the brakes the pressure goes up and she stops fine. I do not know what the problem is? We tried to bleed the air from the brakes when we restore the car, and we think we got all the air out? I have a question that goes with this. Our 75 Gordini has brakes different than her French cousins. Solid rotors up front, drum brakes in the rear. I have included a picture of part of the brake booster and master cylinder, trying to understand what you my friends call this? And if you can find this part and have suggestions. I have emailed Michel as he is always so wonderful as my Amicale friends are Any help is always appreciated and thank you as always!! Amicale, Steve |

| Hi Steve again ... I think there is air in the brake system. When we bleed the brakes two person together ... we have to close the bleed before the pedal reaches the end of its travel to be sure not to "swallow" air. it is necessary to begin by the wheel furthest away, the left rear wheel. |

| On our french cars, we do not have the device which is called here "pressure drop indicator", near the master cylinder. But is present on some R12 Gordini. Personally I don't know how it works except that it increases the pressure on the back when there is a leak on the front |

| Do you have the "MR 185" ? if yes, look about the correct method for bleed with this "pressure drop indicator". On french MR 185, that is sheet K-19 K-9.

| This master cylinder seems to be like on the last Estafette, with a double circuit. |

| Hi Friends, Michel helped me with my shift linkage problem. We are working on a fix. Prior to this problem I started the process of getting my car wrapped in the color of my 1976 R17 Gordini. The project is not finished but thought you would all like this picture. Please enjoy. Amicale, Steve |

| You all are very kind in your words.. I still have yet to get my car back as she is in the garage getting the shift linkage worked on. One of the first things I did was remove the USA Bumpers (shields) Michel helped me get these, the kindness of our Amicale friendship. I hope to have good news soon. My good news for today is I got the Covid-19 Vaccine. Good health to all my friends! Steve |

| Hello Michel, Sorry I missed this. My friend Deak Mihaly rebuilt a later R1326 shift linkage from one of his parts cars. What he did was create a new bushing around the existing ball with JB Weld. he put a coating of some grease so the parts would not weld to each other and he also did some final trimming. His work was excellent and the car drives great, some work was preformed at the shop to make the linkage fit due to the difference between a 1975 and 1978 donor car, but not much. I am very happy with the results. Here are some pictures of the part he refurbished for me. Hope this helps! I love our Amicale family, Steve - MichBiz a écrit:
