Thank you so much for your concern,

Yesterday we made some good progress, but today the torrent of rain starts again!

We have not left our house. The reason is there are very few places to go to. If we get an evacuation order I am not sure what we would do, most of the roads are blocked and we would likely just move to higher ground.

So many people have it much worse than us!

I really appreciate your concern and those of Amicale.

Hier, il y a eu une accalmie, mais aujourd'hui c'est à nouveau le déluge!
Nous n'avons pas quitté la maison, pour la simple raison qu'il y a peu d'endroits où aller.
Si l'ordre est donné d'évacuer, je ne suis pas sûr que nous le ferions, la plupart des routes étant bloquées et notre choix étant de rester à l'étage.
Donc pour la plupart des gens c'est pire que nous!
J'apprécie vraiment votre amabilité à l'Amicale.

We are good, many of our friends are not though and the community and parts of the state is devastated!
Its truly beyond description.
Many years will be needed to repair the damage, it is very sad.
We were hoping to have the R17 running this weekend, friends are gathering for a long planned end of summer garage gathering at my friends house who is helping on the R17.
I doubt it will be as all our free time goes to helping people with their damaged homes and businesses.

Nous, cela va, mais la plupart de nos amis sont dans une triste situation de même que la région et une partie de l’État du Colorado.
Ce que nous vivons est vraiment indescriptible.
C'est très triste,il faudra compter plusieurs années pour réparer les dommages.
Nous espérions voir La R17 rouler ce weekend. Nous avions prévu mes amis et moi, fans de mécanique de nous rassembler au dernier weekend de l’Été, dans la maison de mes amis qui me donnent un coup de main pour restaurer La R17.
Hélas, tout notre temps libre va être consacré à aider les gens à réparer les dégâts des maisons d'habitations et des bâtiments d'entreprises.

Hello all,

Just a small update. We are drying out. I truly appreciate all the concern from the Amicale community.
All we can do is all help each other and try to make some progress.

We did meet at my friends house and we had a nice time. We has two other French cars there. A 1978 Renault 5 set up for Rally and a 1964 Citroen DS21 Wagon. I will post pictures as soon as I get some from my friend. We are having problems with the rear brakes, I will make a quick note here and on the brake forum. The rear brakes are not getting any pressure. My friend thought it might be the proportioning valve and possibly the rear brake limiter valve.

Here is a picture of the new master brake cylinder installed with the old proportioning valve.

I was affraid that maybe it was flooded.

My last post got lost.??

In it I wrote thank you all for your kind words and support.

Merci to all my Amicale friends!!

I am hoping we start the car this week. I promise to keep all on Amicale in the news.

We are farther along than these pictures.

All that is left in the engine compartment is the main battery cables and the hood cable need to be done.

Hi Michel and Amicale friends,

I cannot say thank you enough for your help and support through this project and getting the R17 to run again!

It would have been impossible without your help.

I told my father of this great day, this really cheered him up, his health has not been good and I knew this news would make his day.

I hope he gets well enough to travel again so we can make a trip, I am not sure this will happen, if not I will take videos.

I don;t think we will be ready to drive until next week, but this was a major milestone, I am so happy!
